Be a spark for positive change when you build an app prototype for social good, in a free 4-week program for women and non-binary creatives. Work alongside local artists and mentors to develop an app concept, design the user experience (UX), and pitch your ideas. Equipment and a stipend will be provided.

The objective of Creative Studios - NYC is to equip women and non-binary creatives with the technical and multidisciplinary skills needed to fully conceptualize a Social Impact app prototype.

This is a hybrid opportunity in Manhattan (exact location will be shared upon acceptance) from July 11 to August 5
-
The program runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 2-5 PM in-person

There will be an in-person orientation on July 6

By the end of the 4 weeks, participants will have a designed social impact app prototype and a compelling pitch
-
Applications are open to women, non-binary, and trans creatives ages 18-24
About the Curriculum
The program is divided into a key theme for each of the 4 weeks:
Week 1 : Case Study
Week 2 : Storyboarding
Week 3 : Prototyping
Week 4: Presentation
As a participant, you will:

create a fully designed social impact app prototype

be exposed to technologies like Procreate, Keynote, and Figma
-
learn from incredible mentors, teaching artists, and creators
-
present your idea in an Apple-sponsored Expo
-
receive all the technology necessary to participate in the program as well as a $1000 stipend upon completion of the program to continue bringing your project to life
